This undyed [and unbleached] double knit yarn is made from the wool Portland sheep with a dash of Black Welsh Mountain wool to create a gentle grey and is one of the yarns from Armscote Manor. The sheep are part of a conservation grazing flock in Warwickshire.

Firm yet plump the yarn softens after washing and is ideal for hats, socks, gloves and knits up beautifully in colourwork.
